Hoppy Easter Eggstravaganza Giveaway Blog Hop (INT)

It's Spring... or Autumn!

Whether you live north or south of the equator, this is a season of change, and Easter is one holiday celebrating the renewal and rebirth of life in both hemispheres. A time to get outside and enjoy the turning weather, because even though many of us are under Stay-at-Home orders and a nasty virus has added an edge to everyday life, there is still a whole lot of beauty in the world. Right outside your door.

In the Carolinas, spring comes with every flower and tree in bloom -- and spitting pollen like crazy! My grey car is now yellow green, and with no rain in the forecast, it just might stay that way for the next few weeks. We have carpenter bees nesting in the crannies of our house. Hubby is figuring out a way to tell them to move on or be exterminated. Being a Buddhist, the second option is not his first choice. A friend gave me some English daisies from her yard, guaranteed to create ground cover in record time. I've planted them in my front plot. "Plot" because we live in a town home community, so we have a small rectangle for a front yard. Very dainty and just the right size for a girl who hates getting her hands literally dirty.

I hear there's snow in Nebraska. I'm so sorry for your residents who don't like the white. Not sorry enough to move back north. But I do remember Michigan winters, so I can have a great deal of sympathy.

The Hallmark Channel's Spring Fling brings new movies, but I'm thinking fondly of my own "Fall Fling" in the Hallmark style with my friends south of the equator who celebrate Easter in the autumn of the year.

    1. So glad to hear you're getting out, Betul. We're having some terrific weather here in North Carolina, and I'm blessed with two master gardeners for neighbors. Stepping out onto my back deck is a step into Nature's wonderland.

  4. I'm with you on the chocolate, Calvin and Ana! M&Ms are hard to resist, and I'm always looking for good sugar-free chocolates to help with my blood sugar levels. Planting, however... not so much. But a friend sent me some spring bulbs, and I'll be putting those in next week. Have a good week!
